Akira

Akira is a landmark cyberpunk manga created, written, and illustrated by Katsuhiro Otomo. Set in the futuristic, post-apocalyptic metropolis of Neo-Tokyo in the year 2019 (more than 30 years after a massive explosion destroyed old Tokyo), the story follows Shotaro Kaneda, the leader of a teenage delinquent biker gang. During a clash with a rival gang, Kaneda’s close childhood friend, Tetsuo Shima, crashes his motorcycle and encounters a runaway psychic child.
